Understanding how to create a digital product passport (DPP) to break into international markets

Talk to our experts and see our LIVE DEMONSTRATOR of a DPP based on the standardized concept of the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), a standardized data architecture, and an international and sustainable supply chain. This showcase was created by RCEI of Quebec, in collaboration with its German partner, LNI 4.0 and its community.

DIGITAL PRODUCT PASSPORT (DPP), WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

WHAT IS THE DIGITAL PRODUCT PASSPORT (DPP)?

The Digital Product Passport (DPP) will provide a unique identifier, compliance documents, information on substances of concern, as well as manuals, safety instructions and disposal advice. It will improve supply chain management, regulatory compliance, and environmental and authenticity risk management. The DPP supports open data principles by making product information publicly available, promoting transparency and collaboration in the industry. This approach enhances product visibility, sustainability and data sharing. The DPP represents a major step towards a more transparent and responsible marketplace, benefiting companies, consumers and the environment.

FUTURE REQUIREMENT

The DPP will become mandatory for products being sold in Europe, starting 2026.

TRANSPARENCY AND DATA SHARING

The DPP was created to promote the sharing and transparency of data relating to the complete life cycle of products, from the supply chain to manufacturing, repair and end-of-life. It guarantees the authenticity of products for consumers, and encourages manufacturers to reduce the environmental footprint of their products.

PRODUCTION TRACEABILITY

Optimize your supply chain, create instructions for your customers and calculate your carbon footprint. Once you know the data, structure it and make it available to your customers. The standardized structure of the AAS will be an essential tool for implementing your DPPs.

Diversify your markets and explore new opportunities!

Come and discuss DPP and AAS with us at the Quebec booth, RCEI zone, B42, Hall 2 and LNI booth 4.0, Hall 8.
